Hall of Recognition 2013

Casey was in Montreal this past weekend because the 1964 Leo's Boys Juvenile football team for whom he played was being inducted into the Pointe St. Charles "Hall of Recognition". They were the first team to win the Dominion Football Championship (sometimes referred to as The Little Grey Cup) which was played in St. Boniface, Winnipeg. It was a very memorable and touching experience to be re-united with former teammates from 49 years ago.

Other inductees included Lorne
"Gump" Worsley of the Montreal Canadiens, who also lived on Congregation St. just a few houses up from where Casey lived. Judy Stevens, Bernard Barnoff (Casey's Little League baseball coach), and David O'Neill (a very good friend also from the Pointe.)

The field where Casey played football is now renovated with lights and bleachers.

The Little League baseball field (Centre St.) where Casey played for the Tigers.
